Founded in 1967, ASCPA members have supported the Foundation through financial contribution. Contributions are also made by corporations and from the proceeds of the Young CPA Charity Golf Tournament.

The Foundation has made it possible to award $1,500 scholarships to one student at every Alabama college and university with an accredited accounting program. $33,000 in scholarships were awarded for the 2008/09 academic year.
